The services provided include acute patient care, comprehensive surgical services, outpatient therapies (i.e. physical therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy and many others) patient and community education, pulmonary and cardiac rehab, radiology and a 24 hour emergency room.

History & community role

The current campus opened in 1976 after the consolidation of Aroostook General and Madigan Memorial. HRH was designated a Critical Access Hospital in 2003 and remains one of the region’s largest employers. The hospital hosts programs in the Center for Community Health Education, including diabetes self-management, CPR, and blood drives.
